First aid courses
First aid skills save lives!
First aid training empowers people with the confidence and ability to react immediately to an incident, injury or illness. The HSE (Health & Safety Executive) recommends that a company with 5-50 employees, should have at least one person trained in first aid. Another first-aider should be in place for every 50 workers after that.
For low risk workplaces with 25-50 people, there should be at least one first aider who holds an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, with another first-aider per 100 employees.
Annual Refresher First Aid Courses:
All first aid courses should be refreshed annually with a 3 hour refresher session covering essential aspects of First Aid, practice and protocols including: CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator), Incident Management, Unconscious Casualty plus any specific workplace requirements.
